Actress Diane Keaton has released her new wine, The Keaton. The intent is that the wine will be unpretentious and affordable, and should be served over ice. Yes, she want’s you to drink your red wine over ice.
In an interview with People magazine, Keaton wasn’t 100% sure when her preference for iced red wine started, but theorized by explaining, “I think most likely since it was so hot in N.Y. when I lived there in the ’70s. I used to go on the balcony to cool down since my apartment didn’t have A.C. and one day I thought about trying it on ice. It has stuck ever since then!”
In a collaboration with winemaker Bob Pepi and Bruce Hunter at Shaw Ross, the Oscar winner will release a red and a white blend. And it’s worth mentioning that sales of The Keaton will help a good cause. Due to a family history with brain diseases, Keaton will donate proceeds to brain research at the Lou Ruvo Center in Las Vegas.
So twist off that cap of The Keaton, and enjoy a nice cold glass of wine!
